  • ⅛ teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 2 cups spring water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons chopped fresh mint or basil
  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar
  • 2 small pinches salt Himalayan or good quality rock salt.
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

  1. Dry-toast the cumin seeds in a small pan over medium-low heat for 1 minute – be careful not to burn!
  2. Remove from the heat and crush them in a mortar or spice grinder.
  3. In a blender, briefly blend all the ingredients and strain through a fine cloth into a container. Serve at room temperature.
